L&T bags orders worth Rs 991 cr from SAIL, ONGC
Larsen & Toubro Ltd on Tuesday announced two order wins worth Rs 991.43 crore, one each from SAIL and ONGC.
The engineering construction and contracts division of the company secured a Rs 114.43 crore order from Steel Authority of India Ltd. The order is for turnkey construction of 220/132 kV gas insulated substation and associated transmission network for Bhilai steel plant in Chattisgarh.
The other deal from Oil & Natural Gas Corporation is worth Rs 877 crore. This project comprises re-construction of offshore facilities at the NQ complex. It will be executed on a lump-sum turnkey basis with the completion scheduled by May 2009.
L&T share moved up over 1% to a high of Rs 1,910 on the news. At 12:48 pm, the share was at Rs 1,903 on BSE.
