L&T bags orders worth Rs 1,000 crore-Rs 2,500 crore

The company said its power transmission and distribution business has won orders to design and construct two 132/11kV substations in Dubai, UAE.

Larsen & Toubro has bagged orders worth in the range of Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,500 crore for construction projects, the engineering major said Friday.

L&T said that its power transmission and distribution business has won orders to design and construct two 132/11kV substations in Dubai, UAE. The scope of these turnkey orders involves supply of equipment including gas insulated switchgear. The company also received additional jobs for ongoing power transmission and distribution projects in India.

L&T also bagged an order from a cement manufacturer, which the company did not name, to construct a 3.5 million ton per annum brownfield cement plant in Nimbahera, Rajasthan.


The company won an order from the Central Organisation for Railway Electrification for engineering, procurement and construction work for a project that entails overhead electrification, power supply, signaling and telecommunication and associated works for 383.4 RKM/459 TKM of railway lines in the Northeast Frontier Railway.
