The company termed the project as India’s biggest pumped storage project with ten units of 300 MW each. L&T classified an order ranging between Rs 2,500 crores to Rs 5,000 crores as 'large'.
The project spans design, engineering and execution of all civil and hydromechanical jobs associated with the pumped storage construction. This project is expected to enhance grid reliability and energy security for Maharashtra and beyond.

Pumped storage projects like Saidongar-1 located in Raigad are vital to ensuring grid stability and meeting peak power demand. These infrastructures store surplus energy and release it during high-demand periods. L&T share price: Shares of Larsen & Toubro Ltd were trading at Rs 3893.05 per scrip, after a 0.13% rise as on 11:36 AM on BSE on Wednesday.
