KEC International gets order worth Rs 636 crore
KEC International on Monday said it has got an order worth Rs 636 crore, the largest the company has ever got, from Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company for the design, supply and construction of circuit lines.
The Egypt order is part of the total Rs 756 crore that the company has got from other international contracts including from Australia and Tajikistan. Shares of KEC were down 4% at Rs 145.55 in weak intra day trade on the BSE.
The company said its order book was currently at Rs 5,000 crore. The ongoing liquidity and the slow demand in various markets had prompted KEC to postpone its capex programme for the current fiscal of Rs 180 crore.
