KBL's JV firm bags Rs 761.24 cr order

Kirloskar Brothers Ltd today said its joint venture firm, IVRCL-KBL-MEIL, has bagged a Rs 761.24 crore contract for Hindri Niva Sujala Sravanthi canal project from the irrigation department of Andhra Pradesh.

MUMBAI: Kirloskar Brothers Ltd today said its joint venture firm, IVRCL-KBL-MEIL, has bagged a Rs 761.24 crore contract for Hindri Niva Sujala Sravanthi canal project from the irrigation department of Andhra Pradesh.

KBL portion of contract is worth Rs 114.16 crore, the maker of centrifugal pumps informed the Bombay Stock Exchange in a communique.

The contract includes engineering, procurement and construction on turnkey basis of HNSS project main canal for stage II of the phase I, it said.

The contract consists of design, manufacture, supply of pumps, motors and pressure mains at the site, it said.

The work comprises erection, commissioning and testing at each pumping station of hydro mechanical, electro mechanical and other accessories and maintenance of 12 pumps at each pumping station and the system for 15 years.

The company has also received an additional order worth Rs 145.84 crore for supply of pumps and pumping system from Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd in respect of the project, it added.

The Pune-based company's joint venture firm KBL-PLR had recently bagged a Rs 118.27 crore project from Andhra government's irrigation department under Telugu Ganga project.

The scrip of the company closed 0.80 per cent down at Rs 460 on the BSE.
