In a first, TP-Link names local CEO for India business
TP-Link has appointed Sanjay Sehgal as its new CEO and managing director for India, marking the first time an Indian executive has held the position. This decision comes as the company aims to strengthen its presence in the country by expanding in...
"This new chapter is not just about growth, it's about contributing meaningfully to India's digital infrastructure and innovation story," Sehgal, CEO, TP-Link India, told ET.
Sehgal, who was the company's chief operating officer, will be succeeded in the role by Bijoy Alaylo, a former vice president of the surveillance business.
TP-Link is currently the market leader in consumer Wi-Fi products with more than 24% market share in 2024, according to IDC.
The leadership transition comes at a time when TP-Link is expanding its market leadership in consumer networking along with aggressively investing in enterprise infrastructure, manufacturing and smart Internet of Things solutions tailored for India.
