IL&FS Engineering bags Rs 234 crore order from Rail Vikas Nigam

IL&FS Engineering & Construction Company today said it has bagged a Rs 234 crore contract from the Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) for a railway project.

NEW DELHI: IL&FS Engineering & Construction Company today said it has bagged a Rs 234 crore contract from the Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) for a railway project in Maharashtra.

The company "has been awarded a contract by RVNL, Mumbai for Rs 233.93 crores for the construction of roadbed, major and minor bridges, track linking...works in connection with doubling of Bhigwan - Mohol Section (127.14 kms) part of Daund - Gulbarga Doubling in Solapur division of Central Railways in Maharashtra," IL&FS Engineering said in a statement.

The project is to be completed in 42 months from the date of commencement of work, it said.

IL&FS Engineering Services is also the lowest bidder for another railway project involving construction of a tunnel for an amount of Rs 269 crore.

The infrastructure development and project management company said it has executed projects under various domains such as buildings & structures, roads, railways, irrigation, power, and oil & gas.
