German ATM maker launches new machines
German maker of ATMs Wincor Nixdorf is launching advanced ATM ProCash 4000 in India.
The speciality of ProCash 4000 is that this ATM can reuse the cash deposited in the ATM for disbursal, Wincor Nixdorf Asia Pacific President Lim Khoon Hong said.
The company, which entered the Indian market three years ago, is also launching a multi-vendor solution.
The multi-vendor solution would help in connecting various ATMs, which would help in saving cost and improving productivity, Hong said.
Till date the company has sold about 2,000 ATMs in India and expects to close the year with another 800 units.
"Our estimates show that at least 5,000 ATMs are needed in India for an year. So, our growth has been in three digits in India," he said.
The company has been selling Point of Sale Systems to Indian retail majors. Point of Sales Systems are those which help a store in keeping a tab on the sales of items and the collections made for them.
"We have sold about 2,000 such systems to Reliance retail and a few to Pantaloon and Taj group," Hoon said.
