EPIL pays 20% dividend for 2005-06

State-owned Engineering Projects (India) Limited (EPIL) on Wednesday paid a dividend of Rs 5.31 crore to the government for the year 2005-06.

NEW DELHI: State-owned Engineering Projects (India) Limited (EPIL) on Wednesday paid a dividend of Rs 5.31 crore to the government for the year 2005-06.

The company's chairman Saleem Hamid paid the dividend cheque to Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Minister Sontosh Mohan Dev, an official statement said.

Earlier, in February 2006, EPIL had paid interim dividend of Rs 1.77 crore. With this, the total dividend pay out comes to Rs 7.08 crore, the statement said.

The Company has paid a dividend for the third consecutive year. It had earlier paid 10 per cent dividend for the year 2003-04, after a gap of 26 years and 15 per cent dividend for the year 2004-05, it said.
