CPSE engineering units' turnover up
The units clocked a turnover of Rs 1582.54 crore during August 2007, exceeding the Rs 1422.69 crore target set for the month.

NEW DELHI: Engineering units of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) clocked a turnover of Rs 1582.54 crore during August 2007, exceeding the Rs 1422.69 crore target set for the month.
Performance by non-engineering units during the month was encouraging as well, with a turnover of Rs 149.11 crore against the targeted Rs 128.61 crore. Turnover of consultancy/contract units stood at Rs 119.06 crore against a target of Rs 113.96 crore, an official release said today.
The CPSEs that achieved or exceeded their targets during the month were Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, Bharat Heavy Plates and Vessels Ltd, Heavy Engineering Corporation, Cement Corporation of India, Hindustan Salts Ltd, Tyre Corporation of India Ltd, Engineering Projects (India) Ltd, Hindustan Paper Corporation Ltd, Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Ltd, Sambhar Salts Ltd and Nepa Ltd.
