Chemical engineering congress in Kolkata

The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers would organise a five-day congress here where renowned scientists and industrialists would deliberate on the issues facing the chemical industry.

KOLKATA: The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers would organise a five-day congress here where renowned scientists and industrialists would deliberate on the issues facing the chemical industry.

Chemcon 2007 would have participants like Executive Director of Reliance Industries Nikhil Meswani, Global Refining President of Chevron Jeet Bindra and Director General of CSIR Samir Brahmachari.

Chairman and Managing Director of Nuclear Power Corporation of India S K Jain would also attend the meet starting January 26.

The theme of the congress is "Emergence of Indian Chemical Industry as a Global Giant: Vision 2020".

West Bengal Industry minister Nirupam Sen would inaugurate the seminar.
