BHEL receives Rs 550-cr export order
BHEL has got a Rs 550 crore contract for export of environment-friendly Circulating Fluidised Bed Combustion CFBC Boilers to New Caledonia.

TIRUCHIRAPPALLI: Power plant equipment maker BHEL has got a Rs 550 crore contract for export of environment-friendly Circulating Fluidised Bed Combustion CFBC Boilers to New Caledonia, an overseas territory of France in the south west Pacific Ocean, east of Australia.
The order for 2x135-MW CFBC Boilers and auxiliaries has been received from Koniambo Nickel SAS, an overseas joint venture of diversified mining group Xstrata PLC, Switzerland, a press release by BHEL said here on Friday.
This was the first overseas order for CFBC Boilers that the BHEL has received. With this, the company has made an entry in the European market for this product, it said.
While BHEL here would be producing boiler drums, super heaters, re-heater and economiser, pressure and non-pressure components, BHEL Ranipet plant would supply fans and air pre-heaters.
