BHEL bags Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskars

NEW DELHI: State-owned BHEL said on Monday that it has bagged the government's "Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskars" for its innovations.

The public sector company bagged three Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskars for its innovations and modifications in manufacturing systems and processes, which resulted in saving Rs 50 lakh, according to a BHEL press release.

The company's Trichy and Bangalore manufacturing plants have also won two National Safety Awards for the lowest accident frequency rate.
