BHEL bags NTPC contract for equipment supply

BHEL has bagged a contract from NTPC for supply of electrostatic precipitator package for a 1320- mw Thermal power project at Solapur, Maharashtra.

NEW DELHI: Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd ( BHEL) has bagged a contract from NTPC for supply of electrostatic precipitator package for a 1320- mw thermal power project at Solapur, Maharashtra.

BHEL's scope of work in the contract involves design, engineering, manufacture, supply and erection & commissioning of the electrostatic precipitator package.

The package would be manufactured at BHEL's Ranipet plant while high voltage rectifier transformers would be supplied by the company's Jhansi plant. BHEL's western region power unit would be responsible for erection and commissioning of the package, a company statement said.

BHEL said it has introduced new rating thermal sets of 150 mw, 270 mw, 300 mw, 525 mw and 600 mw in addition to 250 mw and 500 mw sets.

The company also produces thermal with 600 mw, 700 mw and 800 unit ratings.
