Alstom T&D India to supply switchyard for NTPC's Odisha plant

NEW DELHI: Alstom T&D India has secured an order worth around Euro 23 million (Rs 180 crore) from NTPC to supply a switchyard at the 2x800 MW Darlipalli Super Thermal Power Project (STPP) in Sundergarh, Odisha.

The switchyard will facilitate evacuation of 1,600 MW of power produced by the plant to the state grid of Odisha.

All equipment will be manufactured and supplied from Alstom T&D India's manufacturing facilities located in Padappai, Hosur and Pallavaram.

"Alstom T&D India, with its repertoire of high-end, localised extra high voltage products and solutions, is playing a significant role in the evolution of the country's transmission landscape," said Rathin Basu, Managing Director, Alstom T&D India.

Alstom T&D India shares closed 2.42 per cent up at Rs 457.50 on the BSE.
