Alstom share soars 8 pc on Rs 1000 crore contract
Shares of Alstom Projects India Ltd on Thursday surged over 8 per cent after the company said it had bagged a deal worth Rs 1,000 crore
The contract from Gujarat State Electricity Corporation is for construction of combined cycle power plant in India.
The share ended 8.58 per cent higher at Rs 600, off the day’s high of Rs 610.50.
The BSE counter clocked a volume of 5.13 lakh shares against the two-week average of 1.19 lakh.
Alstom will provide all engineering, procurement and construction services to deliver a fully integrated combined cycle power plant, with heat recovery steam generator, gas turbine and generator, steam turbine and generator.
The power plant will be built around Alstom's GT26 gas turbine technology.
