ABB wins USD 15 million order from JK Paper

ABB would deliver energy efficient drive systems for the new paper machine, standalone drives and motors and intelligent motor control centers (MCCs).

BANGALORE: Power and automation technology group ABB has won an order worth more than USD 15 million to supply integrated automation and power equipment and related engineering and commissioning services to JK Paper.

The order is for capacity enhancement of one of its units, JK Paper Mills, located in Rayagada in Orissa, which annually produces 1,25,000 tonnes of branded printing, writing and copier paper, according to an ABB statement.

ABB would deliver energy efficient drive systems for the new paper machine, standalone drives and motors and intelligent motor control centers (MCCs).

The scope of supply also includes electrical infrastructure equipment such as transformers, transmission lines, other power equipment and power management system for the pulp mill & paper machine, it added.
