ABB to acquire Raman Boards
Power and automation technology major ABB Group has agreed to acquire Mysore based Raman Boards (RBL), a manufacturer of press boards and insulation components.
"The additional production capacity will help ABB to further strengthen the transformer business, " said Brice Koch, head of business unit transformers for the ABB Group. "RBL's operations will serve both domestic and export markets. This will help increase our ability and speed to deliver quality products in fast developing and high-growth markets like India and other Asian countries," said Ravi Uppal, country manager for ABB in India and head of the South Asia (SAS) region.
RBL was established in 1979 in technical collaboration with Rogers Corporation of the United States.
