A O Smith Corporation appoints Parag Kulkarni as MD for India operations

MUMBAI: Global water technology company A O Smith Corporation today said it has appointed Parag Kulkarni as new managing director for India operations.

Kulkarni joins A O Smith from Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting where he spent 21 years in increasingly responsible assignments.

Parag Kulkarni has been appointed as managing director of A O Smith Water Products. He assumed this position as of May 2015, a company statement said here.

As managing director, Kulkarni will have full profit and loss responsibility for the operation, which manufactures residential water heaters and residential water treatment products.

In 2008, A O Smith became the first water heater company from the US to enter India.
