Unity Infraprojects bags Rs 234.96 crore road project

MUMBAI: Engineering and construction firm Unity InfraProjects today said it has secured a contract worth Rs 234.96 crore for construction and improvement of major roads in Solapur.

The contract has been awarded by the Solapur Municipal Corporation under the Maharashtra Suvarna Jayanti Nagarotthan Mahaabhiyan Yojana road project (phase-I) scheme of the state government.

"This project offers us a great opportunity to showcase our skills in operations and quality. Supported with planning and a highly professional workforce, we are confident of executing this fast-track project in the given time-frame," company's vice-chairman and Managing Director Abhijit Avarsekar said in a statement.

With the addition of this project, which is to be completed in 18 months, the order book of the company stands at Rs 4467.13 crore.
