RIICO inks deal with Ultratech Cement for rail project
Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation Limited (RIICO) and Ultratech Cement Ltd signed an MoU for commissioning of a railway project.

JAIPUR: Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation Limited (RIICO) and Ultratech Cement Ltd signed an MoU for commissioning of a railway project in Sikar and Jhunjhunu districts in the state.
The MoU was signed by RIICO Managing Director Rajendra Bhanawat and Assistant Vice-President, Ultratech Cement Ltd, Rakesh Misra. As per the MoU, RIICO will acquire 67.812 hectares of land in Sikar and Jhunjhunu districts for the project.
The company will lay a 6 km railway siding from villages Kolida and Beri in Sikar district to the plant site in village Turkani in Jhunjhunu district, Bhanawat told PTI.
Ultratech Cement Ltd is setting up a cement project worth Rs 2,500 crore and will generate direct and indirect employment to 2,500 persons.
Earlier this month, RIICO had also signed a similar MOU with Hindustan Zinc for acquiring land for a 13 km railway siding near Bhilwara.
