NCC Ltd founder AVS Raju passes away

AVS Raju, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of construction major NCC Limited passed away on Tuesday.

With profound sorrow, we share the sad news of the passing of our beloved Founder and Chairman Emeritus, NCC Limited Padma Shri Awardee Dr. A.V.S. Raju garu, at 7.15 pm on Tuesday, 13 October 2026, NCC Ltd said in a statement.

The final respects will be paid at the Plot 168/A, Road 10, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, from 10:00 a.m. onwards on Wednesday.


Born in 1936, AVS Raju was also featured in the Guinness Book of World Records for penning the largest biography in Telugu.

He established Nagarjuna Construction Company (NCC) in 1978 and built it to one of India’s largest infrastructure conglomerates.

NCC has delivered several projects across transport, water management, energy, and urban development.
