Larsen & Toubro bags orders worth Rs 3,572 crore

These orders include a Rs 1,358-crore contract for the construction of a new South Parallel runway, apron and associated works at the Kempegowda International Airport.

MUMBAI: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged orders of Rs 3,572 crore for construction jobs across sectors, the engineering firm said on Monday.

These orders include a Rs 1,358-crore contract for the construction of a new South Parallel runway, apron and associated works at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.

L&T also won orders of Rs 1,264 crore from metallurgical and material handling sector. JSW Steel has awarded the company an order for building a blast furnace and steel melt shop as part of a plan to expand its 5 MTPA steel plant at Dolvi.

In the power transmission and distribution sector, L&T’s construction arm bagged orders of Rs 595 crore in the international market.

The company received orders worth Rs 355 crore including a hospital project in Lucknow and various other ongoing projects.
