Larsen & Toubro gets Rs 2,592 crore building construction orders since April

MUMBAI: Larsen & Toubro has bagged orders totaling Rs 2,592 crore for construction of residential, commercial and factor buildings since April, the $12.8-billion engineering and construction major said Friday.

"Order pipeline for residential project from our existing customers remains strong. Companies are not making any major capex in the muted macro environment and therefore there are no big orders for factories," S. N. Subrahmanyan, director and senior vice president (construction), told ET.

At 1:45PM, shares of the company were trading at Rs 1,155.90 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, down 0.6%. Sensex was down 0.3%.

The orders include, Rs 1,206 crore of orders for residential building, Rs 1,165 crore for commercial buildings and an order worth Rs 221 crore for automobile maker Ford's factory in Gujarat.
