KEC International secures new orders worth Rs 400 cr
KEC said it has secured new orders worth Rs 400 crore from Saudi Arabia and India for supply and construction of transmission lines on a turnkey basis.
"We are happy to keep the continuous momentum of new orders despite the challenging global economic environment. Our good geographical spread enables us to secure continuous orders across the globe. Last month, we secured Rs 200 crore transmission line order from Ethiopia," company's Managing Director and CEO Ramesh Chandak said in a release issued here.
The Saudi Arabia order worth Rs 306 crore is for 380 kV double circuit overhead transmission lines from Saudi Electricity Company ( SEC) and the total route length of the line is 169 kms.
This order was secured through the company's joint venture with Al-Sharif Group, Saudi Arabia and the contract completion period is 24 months.
In the country, KEC has secured two new orders from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) and other from Private customer - VISA Power for for 400 kV double circuit overhead transmission lines worth Rs 94 crore.
KEC International is a billion dollar turnover, global infrastructure Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) major present in power transmission, power systems, cables, railways, telecom and water.
