Infotech to ramp up capacity at Sarpavaram SEZ facility
Infotech Enterprises Ltd's Founder Chairman BVR Mohan Reddy today said the company plans to ramp up capacity at its Sarpavaram SEZ facility.
Currently, it has 650 seats and employs 850 professionals.
"The centre will add a new perspective to Infotech's Indian operations and will help deliver high-value services competitively. The centre will also help boost the local economy by generating employment opportunities," he said in a company statement here.
The centre has been set up with an objective to create local employment. The centre will employ over 95 per cent locals and 30 per cent of these will be women, the statement said.
The new development centre, which is Infotech's seventh in India and second in Kakinada, will deliver solutions to customers primarily in oil and gas as well as energy and utilities industries.
The company has also set up an Avionics MTech programme in Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Kakinada, by providing an avionics lab, enhanced course curriculum and adjunct faculty. The first batch of students will graduate this year.
