HCC-VCCL JV bags Rs 367.72 cr order for project in Manipur

HCC in joint venture with VCCL has been awarded a Rs 367.72 crore contract by Northeast Frontier Railway to construct a safety tunnel between Tupul and Imphal

NEW DELHI: Hindustan Construction Company’s joint venture has bagged an order worth Rs 367.72 crore from the Northeast Frontier Railway to construct a safety tunnel between Tupul and Imphal in Manipur state, the Mumbai-headquartered company said on Friday.

The project would be completed by HCC and its partner VCCL in four years.

The order entails construction of 9.5 km long safety tunnel between Tupul and Imphal, which will run parallel to the main broad gauge single line tunnel which is also being constructed by the HCC–VCCL joint venture.
