CWG scam: Simplex Projects informs BSE on CBI raids

NEW DELHI: Civil engineering and construction company Simplex Projects has said it has provided all the information and clarification to CBI officials during search operations in connection with the irregularities in Commonwealth Games related contracts.

The agency officials had on March 10 carried out searches at the company's premises at Kolkata and here.

"The search was in respect of the work undertaken by the company for renovation of two stadiums at New Delhi, for the purpose of Common Wealth Games and this is a part of ongoing investigation of the several Common Wealth Games related contracts, being handled by CBI," the company said in a filing to BSE.

The Company has provided all the necessary information and clarification to the agency and also extended its fullest co-operation, it added.

Simplex Projects has worked for renovation and upgradation of Shivaji and Talkatora Stadiums in the national capital for the mega sporting event held here between October 3-14 last year here.
