Virendra Sehwag to reinforce JK Cement's branding

BANGALORE: JK Cement, one of India’s premier manufacturers of cement, has signed Virender Sehwag as the brand ambassador for the first time.

“Sehwag’s association will help to differentiate the brand and further reinforce the key brand virtues that JK Cement stands for,” said Nitish Chopra, brand manager, JK Cement.

However, the cement company did not disclose the value of the contract. It will soon roll out new advertisement campaigns featuring the actor. JK Cement is gearing up to face this intensely competitive space with multi-faceted marketing initiatives including consumer promotions, online support and public relations to endorse the various products offered by the Company.

The Kanpur –based company has grey cement plants across Nimbahera, Mangrol and Gotan, Rajasthan and in Muddapur, Karnataka with a combined capacity of 7.5 MTPA.

The company’s Q4 FY11 revenue was up 27% to Rs 680 crore. Its profit after taxes was up 23% to Rs 54 crore.
