Vadodara companies Lilleria Group, Fairmate Chemical tie up for Kenya entry
Lilleria Group & Fairmate Chemical forged a joint venture — Fairmate Lilleria Kenya Ltd — to start construction chemical manufacturing in Kenya, worth an annual Rs 200 cr.
The Lilleria Group and Fairmate Chemical on Monday forged a joint venture — Fairmate Lilleria Kenya Ltd — to start manufacturing in Kenya.
“We will invest Rs 50 crore in the JV in next five years. There is a massive infrastructure and real estate boom in Kenya and there is huge demand for construction chemicals,” said Veer Rajesh Patel, managing director of Lilleria Group. According to him, Kenya is spending huge amounts on development of infrastructure, including residences, townships and hotels.
The company has already acquired a plant in Nairobi and will be manufacturing nearly 300 different construction chemicals, like waterproofing, concrete admixture, protective coating, polysulphide sealants, industrial flooring system and surface treatment.
Fairmate Lilleria plans to expand to Sudan, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania and Ethiopia.
Lilleria Group is multi-functional in real estate and hospitality while Fairmate is a manufacturer of construction chemicals and has a collaboration with Resin Building Products Ltd, UK.
