Thirumalai Chemicals to shut down plant for revamp

Thirumalai Chemicals Ltd said on Wednesday it would shut down its phthalic anhydride plant in Tamil Nadu for a revamp, resulting in a production loss of 6,000 metric tonnes.

MUMBAI: Thirumalai Chemicals Ltd said on Wednesday it would shut down its phthalic anhydride plant in Tamil Nadu for a revamp, resulting in a production loss of 6,000 metric tonnes.

The revamp will raise capacity to 115,000 tonnes per year by March-end, the company said in a statement.
