Neeru Abrol appointed CMD of National Fertilizers

"Neeru Abrol has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director of the company with effect from May 15," the company said in a BSE filing.

NEW DELHI: Neeru Abrol has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director of state-owned National Fertilizers Ltd (NFL).

Abrol, who had been given additional charge as CMD in August last year, has been Director Finance at NFL since 2007.

"Neeru Abrol has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director of the company with effect from May 15," the company said in a BSE filing.

Prior to joining NFL, she was with the Steel Authority of India Ltd for 26 years and held the position of General Manager Finance. Abrol is a chartered accountant with 33 years of experience.

NFL, a mini-ratna PSU, has five fertiliser units, including two in Vijaipur and one each in Panipat, Nangal and Bathinda, with a combined capacity of 3.6 million tonnes of urea. It also manufactures bio-fertilisers and trades in seeds, pesticides and industrial chemicals.
