Makhteshim-Agan India unveils new name, brand in India

HYDERABAD: Crop protection solutions provider, Makhteshim-Agan India today unveiled its new name and brand ADAMA.

ADAMA India Private Limited is the Indian entity of ADAMA Agricultural Solutions Ltd, a world leader in farmer-centric agricultural solutions, formerly known as Makhteshim-Agan Industries, a company release said.

"The move to change its name and brand is part of Adama's global move to unify more than 40 brands spread across the globe into one single name - ADAMA," it said.

The name Adama means "earth" in Hebrew, the essential element of farming, and represents the company's commitment to advancing agriculture in its markets around the world.

The company has completed its new brand introduction in 49 countries, India being the 50th, the release added.

Those present during the occasion included Chen Lichtenstein, President & CEO, ADAMA Agricultural Solutions Ltd., and Yossi Goldshmidt, President & CEO ADAMA India.
