IIL completes first phase of expansion
Insecticides (India) Ltd (IIL), which recently raised Rs 36.91 crore through an IPO, on Thursday, said it has commissioned its Greenfield pesticide synthesis plant at Chopanki, Rajasthan.
The company had raised funds through IPO route to set up the new plant for backward integration and to build R&D capabilities, IIL said in a statement.
The first phase of expansion entailed setting up of pesticide synthesis plant and expansion in capacity at its production facility in Samba, Jammu & Kashmir. Both the plants have been commissioned and have started commercial production, it said.
The expansion at Samba plant would take the company's overall production capacity to 7,000 metric tonnes in granules, 1,000 metric tonnes in powders and 10 lakh litres in liquid formulations.
