New Delhi: India has allowed the import of urea through India Potash Ltd (IPL) for another year untill March 31, 2026, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade said in a notification Tuesday.

“The Central Government hereby extends the STE status of Indian Potash Limited (IPL) from March 31, 2025 to March 31, 2026 for import of urea on government account,“ DGFT said.

India’s urea imports in April-December FY25 were $1.8 billion of which $829 million came from Oman and $272 million from Russia.
