Godrej Sara Lee to hike product prices
Godrej Sara Lee Ltd (GSLL), household insecticides manufacturer, would raise prices of its insecticide aerosols, refills along with its car perfume range between Rs 3 and Rs 21 on account of high petroleum related input costs.
The price hike of Rs 3 is in the high selling Good Knight 90 Night refills to Rs 21 in Ambipur car perfume starter kit with effect from July, company said in a release here.
Commenting about the price hike GSLL Executive Vice President (sales and marketing) Vivek Mathur said: "We have been compelled to raise prices as petroleum-related input costs and freight charges, the world over, have witnessed a sharp increase."
"The price rise is necessary to maintain superior quality of our products," he added.
Over the last one year, prices of petroleum-based ingredients as well as transportation costs have gone up by 11-15 per cent.
