Fertiliser Ministry takes coercive action against Urea diversion, registers 25 FIRs

Subsidised Urea worth Rs 6000 crore has been diverted, ET Now reported. Close to 10lakh tonnes of Urea is being used by industries which is meant for the farmers.

The fertiliser ministry on Tuesday took coercive actions against Urea diversion, reported ET Now citing sources.

The action has been taken against those diverting urea meant for farmers to industry.

The government has registered approximately 25 FIRs against culprits.
