Engineers India Ltd bags contract from Nigerian firm, Brass Fertilizer Company Ltd

Engineers India Ltd has won a contract to provide project management consultancy services for construction of a gas-based fertiliser plant in Nigeria.

NEW DELHI: State-owned Engineers India Ltd has won a contract to provide project management consultancy services for construction of a gas-based fertiliser plant in Nigeria.

Nigerian firm Brass Fertilizer Company Ltd (BFCL) awarded the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services contract to EIL for its upcoming integrated greenfield gas based fertiliser complex comprising of urea/methanol plant at Brass Island, Nigeria, the company said in a statement here.

BFCL and a Danish consortium led by Haldor Topsøe A/S intend to develop the integrated fertiliser complex at Brass Island in the state of Bayelsa, Nigeria with production facilities for ammonia, urea and methanol to cater African market. The plant is envisaged to be ready for commercial production by mid-2018, EIL said.
