NEW DELHI: DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd (DSCL), a company with diversified interests in agri business, chemicals, cement, plastics and energy services, is planning to enter the Middle East market by setting up shop in Dubai.
"We plan to expand the reach of our 'Fenesta' brand of UPVC windows and doors across the globe and in the next one year and we would widen our footprint to cover newer territories, including the Middle East," DSCL Chairman and Senior Managing Director Ajay S Shriram told media.
He said the company planned to set up a marketing front in Dubai as part of its plans. "We plan to enter the Dubai market on our own and are evaluating the options for the same," he said, however, adding the company has not ruled out the JV option completely.
Shriram said besides the overseas expansion, DSCL was charting out plans to expand the UPVC windows business across India, specially ramping up the windows and door segment.
"The UPVC business contributes less than 10 per cent to our total revenue earnings and we are taking steps to increase its share in total business," Shriram said.
