MUMBAI: Dollex Industries Ltd on Wednesday said it will double the production of ethanol.
The company would boost the ethanol production through captive usage of molasses produced at its newly acquired Godavari Manar Sugar Mills at Nanded, Maharashtra, the ethanol producer informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Earlier, the company procured the raw material for ethanol production like -- molasses and rectified spirit from external sugar manufacturers and other by products.
The acquisition of Godavari Manar, would give the company a pricing edge over its competitors as well as double its ethanol capacity, it added.
The shares of the company were trading at Rs 51, down 2.30 per cent at the BSE.
