The facility has been designed to cater to growing demand for high-quality aerospace materials from leading aviation and industrial original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across India, said the company in a statement.
It will focus on both civilian and military manufacturing as well as maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations.
"India continues to emerge as a strategic hub for aerospace and advanced manufacturing," said Frank Haug, chief executive of Bodo Möller Chemie in the statement. "This investment reflects our confidence in the Indian market and our commitment to providing world-class infrastructure, technical expertise, and supply chain reliability to our customers."
Bengaluru and India are expected to witness major growth in aviation and electronics over the next five years, Haug added.
The new facility will bolster the company's logistics and supply chain capabilities. It will improve material availability and technical support for critical applications, said the statement.
The company distributes specialty materials including adhesives used in manufacturing aircraft fuselages and structural components. These materials must meet stringent lifecycle and performance standards, the statement added.
