BASF names Michael Baier as the head of Battery Material business

German chemicals major BASF has appointed Michael Baier to lead its battery materials business. The appointment stands effective from 1 April 2019.

Based in Shanghai, Baier will be the senior vice president of the battery division, which is a part of the company’s catalysts business division.

Baier succeeds Jeffrey Lou, who has been named President of BASF’s Advanced Materials & Systems Research Division.
