Ambo Agro Products looks forward to Rs 500 cr mark
Ambo Agro Products Limited has set up a 500-tonnes-per day edible oil refinery which started production in 2006 and is located at Haldia Port in Midnapore district of West Bengal.

Ambo Agro Products Limited is a joint venture with Singapore based companies and Indian promoters. It has set up a 500-tonnes-per day edible oil refinery which started production in 2006 and is located at Haldia Port in Midnapore district of West Bengal. The edible oils are made out of imported crude palm oil and crude soyabean oil.
The company is run by a team of highly qualified technical and commercial professionals.
The company attaches top most importance to product quality and customer care. R L Parakh, joint chairman of the company says that the essence of ambo agro is, ���Coming together is beginning. Keep together is progress and working together is success���.
An ISO-9001:2000 accredited in April ���07, the company is now in the process of getting an accreditation of ISO 14001 and is has also applied for ISO: 22000 in 2008.
The products are marketed in consumer packs and also bulk under its trademarks such as Ambo Lite, Ambo Gold, Ambo Plus, Ambo Drop, Bake Master etc.
The company has plans to expand its capacity substantially in the existing product and also to bring other edible products as per consumer requirement in the coming years.
Research and collaboration with foreign technology partners are also being undertaken to produce refined rice bran oil in upgraded version for the local and export market.
The turnover of the company during the financial year 2007-08 is expected to be Rs 500 crore.
