JK Lakshmi Q4 net up three fold at Rs 60.83 cr

JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd today reported more than three-fold jump in its net profit for the quarter ended March 31.

NEW DELHI: Cement manufacturer JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd today reported more than three-fold jump in its net profit for the quarter ended March 31 at Rs 60.83 crore as against Rs 23.7 crore in the corresponding quarter previous fiscal.

The company's sales during the quarter grew 43 per cent at Rs 304 crore compared to Rs 212.84 crore in the year ago quarter, JKLC said in a statement.

"With the capacity increase as well as efficiency improvement projects well timed, the company is fully geared up to meet the challenges arising out of the buoyant demand," JKLC Vice Chairman and Managing Director Bharat Hari Singhania said in the statement.

For the fiscal ended March 31, the company's profit after tax grew more than four-fold at Rs 178.11 crore as against Rs 55.45 crore in the previous fiscal.

The company's net sales in the year stood at Rs 844 crore compared to Rs 589.65 crore in the previous fiscal, up 45 per cent year-on-year.
