Chettinad cement to set up grinding unit in Maharashtra

Chettinad Cement corporation board accorded its in-principle approval for setting up a cement grinding unit with a capacity of two million tonnes per annum at Ahuj Village in Solapur district in Maharashtra.

CHENNAI: Chettinad Cement corporation has informed BSE that the board which met on Tuesday considered and accorded its in-principle approval for setting up a cement grinding unit with a capacity of two million tonnes per annum at Ahuj Village in Solapur district in Maharashtra.

In the first three months ending June 30, 2011, the company reported a net profit of Rs 69.64 crore against Rs 20 crore in the same period last. Net sales improved to Rs 453.70 crore ( Rs 337.45 crore).The other operating income amounted to Rs 18.70 crore ( Rs 12.25 crore).
