ACC February sales up 17 per cent to 2 MT

NEW DELHI: Cement maker ACC today reported 17 per cent increase in sales for the month of February to 2 million tonnes (MT).

The company, in which Swiss major Holcim has the majority stake, sold 1.71 MT cement in the same month last year, ACC said in a statement.

Production of the building material by the company also went up to 1.97 MT during the month from 1.71 MT in February 2010.

In January, ACC's sales and production were at 2.04 MT and 2.06 MT, respectively.
