ACC cement despatches up 9.67 pc in June

MUMBAI: The on-going monsoon, considered as slack season for cement companies, has failed to dampen sales of ACC.

Despatches stood at 1.70 million tonne in June, up 9.67 per cent from 1.55 million tonne in the same period previous year, as per the company's notice to the stock exchanges. It produced 1.70 million tonne of cement compared to 1.53 tonne last year, a rise of 11 per cent.

ACC's January-June despatches were at 10.20 million tonne, up 5.48 per cent from 9.67 tonne in the same period last year.

Cement production during the period was up 5.47 per cent at 10.21 million tonne against 9.68 million tonne same period last year.

The stock closed flat at Rs 936.20 on the BSE.
