Zydus launches migraine drug Zolmitriptan in US

AHMEDABAD: Ahmedabad-based Zydus Cadila made a first day launch of Zolmitriptan orally disintegrating tablets upon receiving the final approval from the US drug authorises.

The Company would market the product in the strengths of 2.5 mg and 5mg in the US market. The drug is used in the treatment of migraine, has an estimated sale of $175 million in 2012 as per IMS.

The group now has 79 approvals and has so far filed 173 ANDAs since the commencement of the filing process in FY 2003-04.
