Wyeth Q4 net up 7 fold at Rs 13 cr
Wyeth Ltd on Wednesday posted over 7 fold increase in net profit at Rs 13.25 crore for the quarter ended March 31, as compared to Rs 1.77 crore for the same quarter last year.
The total income (net of excise) of the company grew 36.63 per cent to Rs 63.81 crore for the quarter ended March 31, from Rs 46.70 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago, Wyeth informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The board of directors of the company at its meeting today declared a dividend of Rs 30 on shares of Rs 10 each (300 per cent).
There has also been management changes in the company, wherein Baldev Arora ceased to be Chairman and Director, while Robert Poulton was appointed as the Chairman and Anoop Kumar Sharma was appointed as Additional and Whole time Director of the company.
For the year ended March 31, the company recorded a net profit of Rs 92.36 crore as against Rs 67.72 crore in the previous year.
The total income (net of excise) decreased to Rs 305.47 crore for the year ended March 31 from Rs 307.58 crore a year ago.
Shares of Wyeth were trading at Rs 560.10, up 4.16 per cent on BSE in late afternoon trade.
