MUMBAI: Pharma major Wockhardt Limited has licensed-in UK-based Crawford Healthcare's Viticolor, a skin camouflage gel for topical application for leucoderma patients.

Wockhardt had launched a leucoderma medication called Vitix recently through a license from UK's LSI. Leucoderma, also known as vitiligo, is a skin disorder that affects 3-4% of the Indian population. "Viticolor will complement Vitix and further strengthen our Indian dermatology portfolio," a company release said here quoting Wockhardt chairman Habil Khorakiwala as saying.

Viticolor's effect is expected to last for almost a week. It is already marketed in Europe, North America, Africa and South East Asia, the release said. Wockhardt will launch viticolor in the second quarter of 2007.
